Testimony Continues in Marion County Murder Trial

Between Wednesday and Thursday, 18 people have testified in the testimony trial of Dominique Brand. Brand is accused of kidnapping and killing 80 year old Mary Ann Elvington. Brand requested a bench trial meaning the verdict is decided by the judge instead of a jury. Marion County Deputy Mark Collins testified that Brand called 911 and asked to meet with officers afterwards he was taken back to the Sheriff’s Office without incident. Both sides wants the verdict to be a verbal announcement and the defense wants a statement of facts attached to said announcement.
