HEMINGWAY — Football season may have just started, but it can’t hurt to peek ahead to basketball season.

Carvers Bay High School athletic director and boys basketball head coach Jeff Mezzatesta released the schedule for the 2022 Carvers Bay Bear Jam on Aug. 30.

“We are excited to once again host the largest boys and girls basketball jamboree in the state of South Carolina, with 18 girls teams and 20 boys teams participating this fall,” Mezzatesta said in a statement.

Every public high school in Georgetown County is set to participate, and every public high school in Horry County except for Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle high schools will also join in. Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach will also join in on the fun.
