Diamond Shores LLC, the developer of the project, said they want to hear resident’s concerns before they move forward.
A rezoning request could bring over 500 homes to one local golf course. Nearly 178 acres of the River Oaks Golf Club could be rezoned as a residential development. The plans were recently announced at an Horry County Planning workshop but since then there has been a lot of criticism from community members, with many saying they purchased property in the area because of the fact that it is on a golf course. The request was supposed be discussed at this week’s Horry County Council meeting, but it has been pushed back until October.
