Nancy Pelosi Seeking Italian Ambassadorship Following Midterm Elections

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may be planning her next moves if the Republicans take victory in the House in November. According to sources, Pelosi wants President Biden to nominate her to become the next  U.S. Ambassador to Italy if the GOP takes the house majority in the election. The President may be holding the spot for the speaker and hasn’t filled it since taking office. So far, 101 Biden nominees have been confirmed by the Senate but the President hasn’t named ambassadors to several countries. Pelosi’s office has not commented.
