Murdaugh Murder Trial Begins

Alex Murdaugh is facing charges of murder after his wife and son were shot and killed to death on the family’s hunting property in June of 2021.

The trial for Alex Murdaugh began on Monday.

Before the jury selection began, his defense team filed a motion requesting to block testimony on potential blood evidence.

Murdaugh is facing charges of murder after his wife, Maggie, and son, Paul, were shot and killed to death on the family’s hunting property in June of 2021.

Murdaugh claimed they were dead when he returned to the property after allegedly checking on his mother at her residence.

The former lowcountry attorney has been accused of committing the crimes but has pleaded not guilty.
