The city is honoring the contributions of Harriet Tubman.
The monument will be called “Harriet Home: Journey to Freedom” and will stand at nearly 9 feet tall.
It is set to be erected at the Joseph Hayne Rainy Park in Georgetown and will be unveiled on August 1st before moving to a new location on October 31st.
