A wooden boat carrying migrants set off from Izmir, Turkey and crashed near the shore of Calabria in Southern Italy. Around 180 people were aboard the boat. 80 survived and 15 remain unaccounted for.
Over two weeks has passed and Italy’s Coast Guard, firefighters, and border police are still searching for the missing victims. The recent addition of five more deceased brought the death count to a total of 86 people.
