GEORGETOWN — An armed bicyclist suspected of shooting at a vehicle in Georgetown County was arrested at a relative’s house Sept. 8.
Jonathan Phillip Schuler, 29, was arrested in connection with a report of a man firing a handgun at an occupied vehicle Sept. 8. No one was injured in the incident, according to a release from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
Schuler was taken into custody after sheriff’s deputies searched the West Virginia Road area following a report of an armed man riding a bicycle.
Eventually Schuler was found at a relative’s house on Yadkin Avenue and placed into custody. Charges are pending, according to the report.
McDonald Elementary School was briefly placed on lockdown while the suspect was being located.
