Preparing for fall festival and Halloween
The City of Conway is going all out for fall and Halloween this year with the expansion of the pumpkin-laden trees on Main Street. This past year, the trees delighted Conwayites and their visitors with pumpkins on both sides of one block. This year the pumpkin-filled trees will include several blocks. The new decorations also feature cobwebs on the bushes in front of the Conway City Hall, two gargoyles on either side of the front porch, skeleton shadows in the front windows, a green fountain with a smoke rising from it and 146 witches’ hats covering the courtyard beside the city hall. Here, City Administrator Adam Emrick and Joey Letts were busy stringing the hats Wednesday afternoon.
